EMA Partners Colombia

Colombia, with its capital in Bogota, is a part of CIVETS (Colombia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Egypt, Turkey and South Africa), an acronym that refers to the emerging economies with high development potential. It is also the only NATO Global Partner in Latin America besides being a member of the UN, the WTO, the OAS, the Pacific Alliance, and other international organisations.

Colombia's diversified economy is the third-largest in South America, with macroeconomic stability and favourable long-term growth prospects. A strong financial sector that has grown on the back of a steadily growing market economy, Colombia has Free Trade Zone that is one of the top attractions for foreign investments. Rich in natural resources that it also exports, the Colombian government maintains its focus on developing science and technology along with infrastructure as its key growth sectors. Also known for its efficient use of renewable resources, it obtains the majority of the electricity production from hydroelectric generation.
