The fact is that while black and white are Bollywood’s favorite colours to play with (because they’re classics), royal blue gets over looked in the melee. It’s a breathtakingly mesmerizing color but it doesn’t get the kind of attention it deserves. So we painstakingly collected fashion information on several Bollywood actresses and came up with the best outfits in royal blue that Bollywood has come up with in the last few years.  Here are 4 actresses who dared to be different in royal blue –

Nargis Fakhri

Nargis Fakhri rocked the house at the at IIFA Rocks function. Her royal-blue Kanika Chaudhary saree was accompanied with a heavily embellished metallic blouse which a Chinese collar. Her accessories were minimum; she had one silver clutch and a statement bracelet, and her hair was tied tightly in a ponytail. And we have to say, she looked extremely chic in her ensemble.

Kangana Ranaut

Kangana is one actress who’s created in the world of fashion with her bold choices. This dress of hers is something that nobody could have missed – it had a sheer paneling on the shoulders and neckline, while the rest of it was adorned by blue sequins. Of course the hint of her cleavage was enough to make many go gaga over her dress but truthfully, it was the shade of royal blue she’d chosen that gave a true glamorous vibe to her appearance.

Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt was photographed at the red carpet of the Star Guild Awards rocking a sexy blue Prabal Gurung number that showcased a great view of her thighs. Nobody could notice those deep slits when she was standing, but the moment she started walking, the shutterbugs went crazy.

The only accessory that she wore was one statement ring from Isharya, and she finished off her look with black Christian Louboutins. Though why she wore shoes that were one size too big for her, we’ll never know.

Deepika Padukone

Remember how Sushmita Sen rocked the saree with those bikini blouses and eye-catching borders in Main Hoon Na? That’s exactly the kind of effect Ms Padukone’s royal blue saree had. Designed by Manish Malhotra, the saree became an instant hit and arguably, also one of Deepika’s most recognized on-screen ensembles.

The blue saree was completely monotone; at first look, the only color that it had was on its border, a shade of golden that perfectly complemented the royal blue of her saree. But on a closer look, one could see golden sequins splashed all across the saree. Of course, her black-gold bikini blouse with a deep-cut back simply added to the sensuousness of her appearance.
