Ethnic kurti looks inspired by Kangana’s Panga with Fashion

Women empowerment is an issue that has sprung up in the last few decades and we are more than happy! While pop culture globally has been redefining what it means to be a woman in today’s day and age, be it through films, books or iconic women, our Indian counterparts are no less.

We watched Panga, the much appreciated Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari film about Jaya Nigam, a feisty protagonist played by Kangana Ranaut, who was recently conferred with the honorable Padma Shri. The film shows the struggle that she faces as she strives to resurrect her glorious career as a national kabaddi champion after a decade-long set-back due to marriage and a pregnancy that followed suit.

Sure, a supportive husband and a motivating son help the situation when one wishes to get back to work after a long hiatus, but there is still no denying the kind of zeal and spunk that is required to pull off this stupendous task. And, our LIVA girl Kangana pulls it off not only with great gusto but also with extreme grace and poise.

Dynamic, trendy, and confident, Kangana Ranaut’s dressing style in Panga is an acclaimed one. We picked out a few of the latest dress styles from the film, which caught our attention!

The Adorable Sweater on Kurti Look

The film poster itself has us looking at Kangana in a lovely ochre kurti set which is then covered with a layer of a sweater in a pinkish hue and a matching dupatta. The look speaks volumes about the radiant, confident, and modern personality that she is shown to be in the film. While a sweater atop a kurti is clearly unconventional, Kangana opts for comfort and yet does not fail to remain stylish. Pair the kurti with printed palazzo pants or other printed bottom wear to keep it trendy and comfortable.

The Quintessential Ethnic Saree Look

The saree is every woman’s best friend, and it is definitely here to stay! We love the burst of joy on Kangana’s face as she sits pretty in this printed saree and the much-needed sweater for the winter months. The subtle colours are a pleasant sight and create warmth for the viewer instantly.

The Graceful Kurti Aficionado Look

From heading to your best friend’s mehendi to just a day at work, a graceful kurti is what most of us need in our wardrobe at all times! And we suggest stocking up on a few for that work meeting you wanted to ace with a dashing desi OOTD. Kangana shows us how to ace the look by sporting a pastel kurti and pearl drop earrings to go with!

What better way to protect yourself from the chilly winter wind than throw on a decadent shawl on top of your day attire. Be it a simple kurti and palazzo pants, a saree or just a pair of denims and a top, a shawl or a stole is an exemplary addition to the look and also exudes richness and vibrant joy. We absolutely heart the ease with which Kangana sports the look!

The Petite Printed Kurti Look

From Geet in Jab we Met to Kangana in Panga, the kurti has seen an evolution and if there is one thing we know, it is that the printed kurti is the nation’s favourite! Not to forget the fact that it can be practically worn every day of the week, riding high on comfort and style.
