The fashion weeks around the world keep us in par with the latest fashion trends. Fashion labels are constantly innovating to bring in new fashion trends. With social media, fashion news is now available to us almost as soon as the models have walked the runway. This has created an increasing demand to come up with interesting fashion styles. To leave a lasting impression on the viewers, the designers create a whole different world on the runway, going beyond just creation of fashion clothes.
Time and again, designers have used the runway to convey their inspiration beyond clothes. Transporting you to what gave birth to the collection, the decor is a subtle entry into the designer’s mind. The runway speaks for the designer with words unspoken for a lasting impression.
Some of the most iconic fashion shows by the greatest fashion labels that have inspired us over the years are listed below:
Chanel
Always creating memorable fashion shows, for the autumn-winter 2016 Paris Fashion Week, Chanel had outdone itself by making an iconic runway. The theme of the fashion show revolved around technology. The runway was flanked with rows of storage circuits with bright-colored wires hanging out. Complete with LED’s, the collection was a perfect representation of our tech-savvy lives. An amalgamation of the iconic Chanel designs with the latest clothing trends, the set was subtle hint about the fashion label finally embracing technology and going online.
Tommy Hilfiger
For the spring 2016 collection, the fashion label brought the beach to the runway. Going perfectly with the breezy fashion styles of the collection, the runway was designed with tropical elements. With models splashing in the waves, the setting was complete with rubber boats and a beach bar for an over-the-top experience. The elaborate backdrop perfectly described the fun, carefree fashion trends.
Vionnet
The fashion label Vionnet indeed made florals an extraordinary setting for Paris Fashion Week autumn-winter 2015. A pleasant contrast from the bright flowers, it created a mystical ambiance with dark shades and ferns in sync with their latest fashion styles. The dark flora hung magnificently from the ceiling as the models presented the spring trends. There was a metallic tone to the whole set that gave it a royal look.
Louis Vuitton
The spring of 2012 marked a significant year in defining fashion trends. The pastel shades still trending were pioneered by the fashion label during Paris Fashion Week. The set stood in all its glory inspired by amusement parks with a Victorian twist. The white palette of the set balanced the powdery pastel fashion trend beautifully.
Mulberry
London Fashion Week autumn-winter 2016 witnessed a remarkable moment when the fashion label unveiled its new collection. Inspired by gothic fashion trends, the set was an elaborate affair in a dark setting. The church decor on the runway was complete with stained glass paintings and mirrors that created an aura straight out of a medieval novel. The hushed tones with a soft grey palette set the mood for the collection.
