#1 Tie-dye: Kaleidoscopic print is in, again!

Whether on feminine blouses or breezy kaftans for the beach, the tie-dye prints are everywhere! This summer demands we explore and have fun with this trend, and given that this trend spells sustainable fashion, it’s a win-win! Take a cue from leading English fashion designer Stella McCartney’s: her tie-dye printed jumpsuit radiates a fun yet contemporary vibe. Indian fashion bloggers are also of the opinion that tie-dye is making a comeback, and incorporating this trend into your wardrobe is easy. According to Delhi-based blogger Nikita Verma of RavingRage fame, “Tie-dye print t-shirts would be great for a casual, summery look.” Think flowy maxi dresses and matching bandeau headbands, and you are ready for a summer getaway!

#2 Utility clothing: Balancing function and fashion

A complete steer from the tie-gye gypsy trend is the utilitarian design trend. This involves cargo pants, canvas overalls, multi-pocketed jackets, sleeved jumpsuits, and more. We love how functional yet stylish this fad is. Wondering how to team up a complete look? Fashion blogger Simrat Marwah recommends sticking to classic neutral colors. “A white t-shirt or even a beige one can be so versatile. You can dress it up or down depending on the occasion.” A thoroughly fashionista-approved way to adorn this rage is to pair the masculine cargo pants with chic heels that declare juxtaposition.

#3 Neon palette: Go bold, go fluorescent

Bhumika Thakkar, a Mumbai-based fashion blogger, believes we will witness a takeover by fluorescent hues this summer. “Neon in quite in trend currently, especially neon green.” Take a cue from actor Parineeti Chopra, who does complete justice to this neon-green sporty top that she teamed with a black skirt.

If you are looking to strike a balance, Simrat recommends, “Layer neutrals with bold fluorescent colors. Take your classic white t-shirt and wear it with neon orange trousers.” Nikita also thinks the neon trend can be pulled off at the workplace. “A neon jacket (or blazer) with black trousers is a great trendy outfit idea for office wear,” she suggests for those who find an all-neon suit rather bold.

With eye-catching hues all over merchandise like clothing, belts, bags, shoes, and even sunglasses, the attention-grabbing neon color palette ensures that this summer is going to be a hot one!

#4 Animal Print: Wild is in

Splashed all over fashion magazines and Instagram’s explore page is the most re-creatable trend of this season: the animal print, especially snakeskin. An all-over animal print dress is a sure shot way to make your ensemble a glamorous one, just like Bollywood actor Kriti Sanon is seen in this deep-blue leopard-print dress by Kate Spade New York. “You could wear it (animal print) on dresses, pants, or jackets,” suggests Bhumika.“If you feel it is too bold, then go for a printed belt or a bag,” she recommends.

We hear that this summer is going to be a balmy one, and we look forward to keeping the fire blazing by fueling our wardrobes with the above-mentioned raving trends.
